Three glorious weeks of SERIALS, back in the 98-seat theater at The Tank (312 W 36th Street in Manhattan) are happening across October, November and December. Show dates:
October 23 – October 25
November 6 – November 8
December 4 – December 6

Thursdays are a school-night-manageable 7pm (with an Indie Theater Celebration thrown in for good measure).
Fridays and Saturdays arrive ready to party at 9:30pm.

The returning shows, based on audience voting, feature the long-running The Adventures of Bungo Calamity: Apocalypse Clown by A.J. Ditty as well as the newer chiara and lauren take a trip to friendship island (and it’s going to be sooo great) by Jack Ventimilla and Georgia Wright’s Manhattan-Nanny-Fantasia Age of Sagittarius. Last cycle they had us singing along, dancing in the aisles, lying in stitches, and running for our lives from Baby Monsters (and Baby-Mama Monsters).

What will happen this cycle? Will chiara and lauren survive the dismantling of Democracy with their friendship intact? Will Teddi perfect the ultimate Sagittarius AI-Enema hybrid? Will Bungo make it to its episode 9 conclusion in week 2? Or will we all go down in flames like a post-apocalyptic Troy?

We are downright aquiver over our new writers for this cycle!
Week 1 has SERIALS returning favorites with brand-new delectable play ideas for your consideration: Cody Hom of Science Project fame and Last Dictator scribe Amalia Oliva Rojas. They are the cat’s knees and the bee’s pyjamas! In week 2, our new contenders are hunk of titilating SERIALS fresh meat Charlie Tynan and our very own hometown top gun hero Natalia Mar Urzua. Finally, in December the incoming pilot episode storytellers will be big cheese new company member Jack McManus (Julius Beagle) and the copacetic crackerjack Madison Fargo… it’s gonna be wizard!

The full list of participating artists this go-round:
Abby Wild, Ali Andre Ali, Alice Lussiana Parente, Andrew Barlow, April Tuiolosega, Bennett Clarkson, Christine Pollnow, Colby Ourand, Dan Victor, Elizabeth Winterbourne, Emani Brielle, Emily Conlon, Emily Oliveira, Emmie D’Amico, Eric Berger, Ethan Fox, Eva Rubin, Georgia Kate Cohen, Henri Brusasco, Hunter Levi Rothstein, Jahdiel Rodriguez, Jennifer Soraya Rose, Jessie Cannizzaro, Josh Bloom, Josh Boerman, Karen Marulanda, Kristan Seemel, KP Sgarro, Laine Flores, Madeleine Bundy, Marina Fess, Marx, Michael Ortiz, Natalia Mar Urzua, Nate Netzley, Nathaniel Stornelli, Nicholas Louis Turturro, Nikki Cannon, Paige Esterly, Peter Charney, Rose Stark, Sam Rodriguez, SMJ, Stephanie Orta-Vasquez, Zac Diamond, Zavier Aujay-Barnhart

Recap of Cycle 16: May 1-3, 15-17 2025

Here’s a quick little recap of our Spring Fling SERIALS Cycle 16. It was a doozy: full of upsets, continuing favorites, and exciting new storylines!

Last cycle’s double pilot upset was repeated in the first week as Baby, It’s You by Sarah Jae Leiber and Cody Hom’s Double Double displaced The Good, The Bad and the Undead and Flared Base, both on their episode 2. We were sad to see Kenjiro Lee’s zombie-infused Western reinterred and Ben Schrager’s medical drama by way of putting things up your rectum discharged but happy as always to have pilots come back! This Cycle also saw the light of Paige Esterly’s Everything I Know I Learned from The Simpsons pilot episode burn intensely but briefly across the SERIALS firmament only to disappear beyond the horizon… or Burbank, CA. Gone but not forgotten!

Baby, It’s You proved to have staying power and will continue into next Cycle following the mad adventures of a group of Beatles super-fans as they try to track down those Lovable Lads from Liverpool. Evelyn, a 1960s coed has particular designs on Paul: she needs him to get her pregnant. To be fair, he did tell her he was the only one who could do it–in song–when he visited her in a dream in her dorm room!

Double Double, the tale of three witchy sisters banding together to take over the family potion business, itself went down after just two episodes. Man, that second episode is so hard to land! In its place and continuing into next Cycle is current holder of the very-long-titled-Serial award: chiara and lauren take a trip to friendship island (and it’s gonna be sooo great) by SERIALS newcomer Jack Ventimilia. Our heroines are on a journey to test their bond– on national television, of course!

The Adventures of Bungo Calamity: Apocalypse Clown by A.J. Ditty continued its gut-busting run with episode 4 & 5 which saw our wily swashbuckling clowns face off against cannibals, sirens, ex-girlfriends, mutant meth-addicted flying pig-men and Klops Corps Founder/CEO Sydon Klops. They even visited Florida…erm, I mean, Mime Country. We’ll follow them into our July-August Cycle as they track down a lost soul in Hell… Michigan… Hell, MI. Will Bungo ever make it home?
